Technical Studies

Technical Art History is a multidisciplinary field involving Art Historians, Conservators and Scientists. Their joined efforts cast light over the making process of paintings and the artist’s mastery.

Our technical studies are developed in three axes: making-technique, restoration history and conservation condition.

Digital processes allow us creating multilayered representations of the painting for an accurate analysis. We emphasize visual information with diagrams mapping the support’s construction, the underdrawing, the changes in composition… Our findings and conclusions are gathered in an in-depth report deliverable in three languages: Spanish, English and French.
